Joining RE Action - Declaring 100% Renewable

On November 13, 2023, we joined the "RE Action - Declaring 100% Renewable" initiative (https://saiene.jp/) In the future, we plan to introduce non-fossilized certification by tracking and linking the non-fossilized value of the electricity generated at the FIT power plants our company group develops and owns, to electricity for business use. In this way, it enables us to make the electricity necessary for business practically carbon dioxide-free. Also, as a real estate developer, we will continue to do business that reduces environmental burdens by developing environmentally-focused properties and promoting renewable energy as the main power source of the common areas of our property.

Creation of SDGs-conscious communities

We work on plans with environmental considerations such as enhancing the value of existing non-conforming buildings and older real estate, utilizing reusable materials for floors and adopting facilities.
We also take account of building users and effects on the surroundings in emergency situations and make appropriate repairs and renovations to maintain the buildings' function and prevent them from collapsing at times of disaster.

In one renovation project, we conducted seismic retrofitting of the building constructed under the former seismic standards and no longer meet the current ones, accommodated the tenants' business continuity plans, and contributed to its local disaster management. The renovation considered the additional values from the property utilization standpoint, such as turning the downsized part into shared-use balconies upon seismic retrofitting, which improved the effect of both disaster prevention and additional value functions.
